Wild Flor

I visited Wild Flor in January of this year 2020, Me and my partner had been looking forward to coming here for some time, I follow them on instagram and the food always looks so good in the pictures. We booked a table for 6pm on a Friday, I must admit it was quite early so we were the only people in the restaurant to start with, the staff were so friendly and inviting and you can tell they really have a passion for the food and the wine on offer.

They offer a brilliant menu which is only available on Monday & Thursday to Saturday Lunchtimes Monday & Wednesday to Friday 6-7pm. I decided to order from this as they had some good vegetarian options, the menu consits of 2 courses for £18 or 3 courses for £22, I had the confit Jerusalem artichoke to start and the spiced sweet potato for my main, I have put the full menu below. It was so tasty and brilliantly presented, sometimes I find with special offer menus the quality isn't always there, but this was definitely great quality.

My partner Gary had the Salt Cod & Chorizo Croquettes with Aioli £8 to start and the Glazed Beef Cheek, Wild Mushrooms, Cavolo Nero & Celeriac Puree £19 for his main course, he said it was one of the best pieces of beef he has ever had, and it did look really good to me too.

We had a lovely bottle of red wine, unfortunatley I cant remember what it was called, but it was recommended to us by the owner, he said it was the wine he had for his wedding which gave it a personal touch, You can tell a lot of thought goes into the wine list too and it is very reasonably priced.

This felt like a fine dining experience, but with a laid back and friendly atmosphere, excellent value for money, I think the bill came to around £75 which I was pleasantly surprised about, I will definitely be going back and recommend you all to try.
