GungHo
GungHo Describes itself as- SUSTAINABLE COCKTAIL BAR
using seasonal British produce, freshly squeezed juices, syrups + shrubs made from scratch and hand-chipped blocks of ice to create cocktails of distinction!
I'm not sure about you, but my first though was, what does the name mean?? so I googled it-If you say that someone is gung ho, you mean that they are very enthusiastic or eager to do something.
I am definitely eager to go back! the cocktails are very nice and well thought out ingredients are used, you can tell there is a real passion gone into the menu, they have a changing menu which flows with the seasons and also special occasions.
The first time I visited was Easter 2019, I had a chocolate cocktail which was on the Easter menu, it was really tasty, and I was impressed that they had menu for the easter weekend.
The last time I visited was February 2020, I went on a Saturday evening with a group of friends, it was a very rainy evening and when I got there it was packed, we had a table booked for 7pm, and I'm glad we did as we wouldn't of got a table otherwise, the windows were steamed up and it had a really cosy nice atmosphere to it, I stuck to cosmopolitans that night as they were on special offer it was 2 for £12 which was very reasonable.
This is a great cocktail bar with a nice friendly cosy vibe, I will definitely go back soon.
